On Thursday, Trent Kone-Doherty, a promising young player for Liverpool, was spotted training with the main team.
There has been building excitement on Merseyside since last summer, when Kone-Doherty first came. The Irishman, who is still very young at 17, seems to have stepped up his game this year.
And if the footage posted by Football Daily this afternoon is any indication, Jurgen Klopp is completely taken away by the winger’s speed and skill.
Even though Kone-Doherty has worked out with the first team in the past, he may finally get his chance to make his debut in the big game against Everton in just two days.

Klopp’s striker options appear to be well supplied for the match against the Blues with the returns of Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo.

However, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez were operational in South America not too long ago. It’s possible that Jurgen is just taking a chance in case none of his senior picks pan out.
The film also featured James McConnell, a promising young midfielder who impressed the coaching staff throughout preseason.
The starting lineup still includes Kone-Doherty.
It would be a massive shock if Kone-Doherty was named to the weekend’s matchday roster.
Nonetheless, it’s thrilling to see him train alongside Liverpool’s A-listers.

Trent’s rise through the Anfield age groups hasn’t been as spectacular as Ben Doak’s, but he has done it in his own measured fashion.
The attacker was praised as “unbelievable” after he was signed away from Derry City [The Athletic]. So far, Kone-Doherty has never let anyone down.
While he won’t make his debut in front of Liverpool fans this coming Saturday, that day shouldn’t be too far off.
Depending on suspensions and injuries, Kone-Doherty could make an appearance in the Europa League. After all, Dublin is where it all culminates. That sounds like a fantastic story waiting to be told.
But for now, Trent, you should simply keep at it. You’re on the correct track now.
