Today, Cody Gakpo resumed training with Liverpool, but Andy Robertson remains sidelined with a shoulder injury sustained while playing for Scotland.

   

After missing the previous several weeks with an injury, the Dutch international returned to Kirkby on Sunday, Football Daily reports. He suffered the hit in Liverpool’s contentious 2-1 loss to Tottenham.

But Liverpool have been given another injury blow with Robertson, who was spotted this week wearing a protective arm cast after being hurt with Scotland, despite Gakpo’s return to training.

Gakpo’s comeback will be a huge boost to Liverpool’s offensive lines, and Kostas Tsimikas is set to start this weekend against Everton as a result.

The Dutch international has been outstanding for the Reds this season, earning praise as “special” on Liverpool’s official website; Gakpo’s return to Liverpool in training will be a huge morale booster for many fans.
