Brazil had a hard night in Montevideo, losing to Fede Valverde’s well-organized Uruguayan team. Brazil have now gone without a victory in their past two games. They lost ground against Venezuela in their own stadium last week. Neymar’s tragic injury from last night didn’t help matters much. A tearful Brazilian had to be stretchered from the field.
Vinicius Jr., a top player for Real Madrid, played in both games over the international break and was upset by the club’s loss last night, as reported by Ge Globo in his native Brazil.
“I was very bad in the game, and I was very bad in the last game too,” Vinicius admitted. So much has to change in me. There is a lot of room for growth on this team as well. But staying level-headed is essential for giving one’s all to one’s team.
Vinicius revealed that he has experienced some growing pains while playing for Brazil’s national team.
“I think that my cycle in the National Team has not yet been what I expected,” Vinicius explained. “I have a lot to evolve to be able to play the best I can, as I do in Real Madrid. Of course, the pressure is also great. And I am always prepared — wanting to evolve, wanting to improve as quickly as possible to be able to help the team.”
