Luis de la Fuente, coach of Spain, has provided an update on Gavi before the team’s upcoming Euro qualifier against Norway.
Gavi’s fitness has been questioned, although he did play the full match in the 2-0 victory over Scotland.
De la Fuente claims he had a small injury but didn’t miss any significant time from training because of their cautious approach. He then proceeded to heap accolades on the young Barca player.
“He got a knock, so he skipped training to be safe. He told the press, “I’ve heard in the publications that he gets a lot of yellow cards, but with us they’ve only given him one.
“He inspires confidence, is relentlessly energetic, and is a very good player. There are times when he has to learn self-control, but he is able to do so with our help. As a result, we are overjoyed.
On Sunday, Spain will play Norway, and a win will guarantee them a spot in the Euro 2024 tournament.
