Devin Booker is prepared to play a significant role for his nation.

In order for Team USA to win a gold medal in 2024, forward Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards urged that some of its players accept a smaller role. Kuzma, a guard for the Phoenix Suns, volunteered for the role:

Despite shooting 49.4 percent from the field and 35.1 percent from three-point range last season, Booker averaged 27.8 points, 5.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals a game for the Suns. He is anything but a role player.

But there might be a ton of other superstars on Team USA.

Ultimately, according to Shams Charania and Joe Vardon of The Athletic, LeBron James has begun enlisting athletes like Draymond Green, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant in hopes of competing in one more Olympics.

For the Americans, who will be trying to improve on their World Cup fourth-place result, that would be quite the talent lineup.

While Anthony Edwards, Mikal Bridges, and other players played well for the World Cup team, it lacked some of the star power that previous Olympic teams have had.

If someone like Booker was assuming the role of a role player, star power wouldn’t be a problem. If James, Curry, Durant, and other players were all on the court, the Americans would undoubtedly win the gold medal despite the competition from teams all over the world.

The US will be attempting to win an Olympic gold medal for the sixth time in a row. While James was a member of the 2008 and 2012 teams, Booker, Durant, and Green were on the most recent squad to win the gold in Tokyo.
