Kristaps Porzingis, a forward for the Boston Celtics, loves his new team. Porzingis played his first game for the Celtics on Sunday in a warmup game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics won 114–106.
As he scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds, Porzingis looked very at ease in his new clothes.
In a talk after the game, Porzingis talked about how playing with Boston star Jayson Tatum has helped him on the court.
According to the Celtics, Porzingis said, “Jayson gets so much attention, it just opens things up for me.” “This is the ideal situation for me.”
As the head of the Celtics’ snake, Jayson Tatum does get a lot of defensive attention. And that’s before you take into account the help Tatum gets from his talented teammates, such as All-NBA guard Jaylen Brown, solid role player Derrick White, and newly acquired All-Star guard Jrue Holiday.
