The Golden State Warriors’ passing and shooting are equally as impressive. Mark Jackson laid the groundwork for the Warriors’ offense, and Steve Kerr finished the master plan, allowing Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and the rest of the Warriors to whip the ball around the perimeter with more accuracy than any team in NBA history.
Many Dubs supporters will be disappointed by the reality that the Warriors’ coach has disclosed regarding Anthony Davis’s domination in the playoffs last year. Even more concerning for Warriors’ fans: Kerr praised the Western Conference’s depth.
The Warriors and the Lakers squared off in exhibition play on Saturday. Kerr’s squad started throwing the ball about like a hot potato during a regular attacking possession, and eventually it found its way into the hands of forward Jonathan Kuminga.
Kuminga scanned the Warriors’ sideline for a free player to pass to in the corner. At the worst possible moment, he tossed the ball into the waiting hands of the intended receiver.
In the third quarter of the preseason game between the Warriors and the Lakers, the Warriors took the lead after causing several issues for Darvin Ham and the Lakers with their precision ball movement and sharp outside shooting touch.
The Warriors’ preseason will end on the 20th, and they will then travel to the Bay Area to face the Suns on October 24 for the regular season start.
