Jürgen Klopp has a positive outlook. After the next international break, Cody Gakpo will be back in action.
The attacker went off at halftime of last week’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur with a leg injury and left the game wearing a brace.
However, Klopp has given a favorable report on the status of the No. 18 and Gakpo is making significant improvements.
Cody, there is a decent possibility,” the manager assured him. He no longer needs the brace and can walk normally, thus out of all the terrible outcomes, I believe he nearly received the best, but is still damaged.
When asked about the status of Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, and Conor Bradley, Klopp provided an update on each player’s health.
Due to a hip injury that necessitated surgery at the end of the previous season, Thiago has yet to make an appearance in 2023-24.
Meanwhile, Bradley has been out with a back ailment, and Bajcetic has picked up a slight injury after making two appearances this season following a lengthy absence.
Klopp said, “It’s just annoying for [Thiago] himself in particular.” He’s experienced two minor setbacks in his recovery that have forced him to miss more game time. Of course, these aren’t the same injuries at all, but they are comparable.
Just ask Stefan Bajcetic, who was present, played for a while, and then got a different sensation; it’s frustrating for him, too. Sometimes that’s how it goes with chronic wounds.
Because I can’t control the situation, I won’t speculate about when they could return. After the international break, we’ll know for sure if they plan to return. Maybe that would be fun.
“Conor is making progress; he’s running again; nevertheless, at that age group and with these injuries, you prefer to give them rather three weeks more than not enough due to the developing process of the body and similar factors. Let me put it this way: I could no longer sustain this harm. That’s why he’s going to require a little while.”
