It seems that not even Holiday was informed about the trade until it was confirmed. Should the two-time All-Star combo guard not have been notified, could it be that Antetokounmpo was not informed either?

It would be “naive” to believe that Giannis was unaware that Holiday was going to be dealt, according to a very convincing explanation put out by NBA expert Big Ox:

“I’m not even suggesting that Giannis would have told him to stop. Save Jrue. All I meant was that it’s foolish for you all to think that they didn’t even consult Giannis. You’re gullible. Big Ox from the Player’s Choice show commented, “That’s what you’re doing” (via Ernest Leo Hernandez of sportskeeda).

Was Giannis Antetokounmpo’s departure a green light for Jrue Holiday?

It’s important to remember that the Bucks essentially fulfilled Antetokounmpo’s demand by trading for Lillard. Although he did not give the front staff explicit instructions to trade for Dame, he did put a lot of pressure on them when he stated that he would like to leave Milwaukee if he did not win a championship soon.

Big Ox claims that Giannis orchestrated the Lillard-Holiday trade, either directly or indirectly, and that Giannis absolutely did a LeBron James:
