Jayson’s kid, Deuce Tatum, is five years old, and the Boston Celtics star just posted a funny story about him on social media.

Tatum said that his son has changed his mind about Spider-Man after seeing the most recent movie.

“Daddy,” Deuce said, “I think I changed my mind.”

In other words, “I might want to be Spider-Man when I grow up, but I still want to be you.”

Tatum replied with a joke, “Good save, son!” What a great stop!

Tatum had his son Deuce when he was 19 years old, not long after the Celtics picked him. Deuce is now a fan favorite among Tatum’s Celtics peers and across the NBA.

“Best friend in the world” is what Tatum calls his son Deuce, and he and his ex-girlfriend Toriah Lachell share care of him.

At a press conference in June, the NBA star talked about how important it is to be a good example as a dad and how close he is to his son.

During an interview, he said, “I always thought I would be the best father and basketball player I could be.”

There were no set rules or procedures; it was all about what felt right. Since I was only 19 when I was picked, I get to spend a lot of time with him and feel like I’m growing up with him.

I’m moving up in my career now that he’s bigger, and we’re both growing up and going through the same things at the same time. That’s what I think is the best part.
