Despite an injury that has kept him out of play for his U.S. side Inter Miami, Argentina captain Lionel Messi was selected in the roster on Thursday for the next two World Cup qualifiers.
The 36-year-old striker has been out since last month with a muscular injury, causing him to miss four games for Miami.

Argentina will play Paraguay at home in Monumental Stadium on October 12 before traveling to take on Peru in the National Stadium in Lima on the same day.
