Curtis Jones quickly became an important part of Jurgen Klopp’s plan to bring Liverpool back to life

Many people thought Curtis Jones would not be in Jurgen Klopp’s team when Liverpool spent £145 million this summer to rebuild their middle.

Curtis Jones had a great end to last season, but things will be very different this year because the young players that came from Liverpool’s training school need to do everything they can to get a spot in the midfield. Adding people like Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ryan Gravenberch is a good idea.

But Curtis Jones still seems pretty sure of himself. In an April interview with The Athletic, he said, “The club’s aggressive spending does not confuse me.” I’m a calm and sure of myself person. In a place like Liverpool, I always think I can do well.

Jones did what he said he would do. He is willing to compete with the above-mentioned greats and is an important part of Jurgen Klopp’s work to create “Liverpool 2.0.”

The 22-year-old was rested for the Europa League game against LASK last week, and he played with Mac Allister and Szoboszlai in the game against West Ham last weekend. Liverpool easily won this game, as they have done so many times this season.

In the left midfielder spot, Curtis Jones played very well. Jones played for 77 exciting minutes and when he left the field, the home fans praised him loudly.

Often finds room to receive the ball from the central defenders, is strong when blocking opponents, and is very alert when things change quickly. During Jones’s minutes on the field against West Ham, he made 49 out of 51 passes, which is 96%.

In the first half, Curtis Jones laid down holding his ankle, which caused some worry. But he was determined, and he came back a few seconds later to keep arguing with Jarrod Bowen. The fans at Anfield seemed more excited to cheer for the players when they saw a picture of Jones fighting with all his heart.

Also, Curtis Jones almost scored an own goal in the most recent game against West Ham. However, he was caught offside when he tried to get a pass from Szoboszlai at the end of the first half. Jones also gave goalie Alphonse Areola a clear chance to shoot again in the second half, but he had to work hard to stop the ball.

Curtis Jones has played 14 of Liverpool’s last 17 games in which they have not lost. If he hadn’t hurt his hip at the start of the season, that number might have been even higher.

Jones made a strong comeback that began with the April game at Stamford Bridge, when Jurgen Klopp gave him his first start in six months. And because the head coach thought that, Curtis Jones has made a lot of progress until now.

Recently, Curtis Jones became the second player, after Trent Alexander-Arnold, to make it from Liverpool’s youth team to the first team. Both players have played more than 100 times for Liverpool since the former captain took over as captain. Steven Gerrard is a legend at Anfield.

A lot of talented players have been moved to the first team, but Jones and Arnold have already reached that milestone. Stephen Warnock (67 matches), Martin Kelly (62 matches), Jay Spearing (55 matches), and Jon Flanagan (51 matches) are some of them.

Even more impressive is the fact that Curtis Jones reached that point during a time when Liverpool won a lot of titles.

But Curtis Jones had to go through some tough times on his way to playing for Liverpool’s first team. Also, it was hard for him to make his start against Wolves in the FA Cup when he was 17. And it took him a long time to score an impressive goal against Everton that same season.

Curtis Jones’ career has moved more slowly this season because of a strange ankle injury he got while training. Next, Jones had to miss a lot of time last year because of trouble with his shin bone.

The good news is that everything is over now. After getting sick, Curtis Jones is now healthy again and ready to do what he does best: run. In order to help Jones pass the ball faster and make better choices, Klopp and his assistants worked with him.

In July, Curtis Jones played on the England U21 team that won the European Championship. He was named man of the match in both the semi-finals and the final of the event. We can say that “prodigy” Curtis Jones is now taking the first steps toward reach his full potential.

Curtis Jones does very well when he quickly develops his own skills and plays with great midfielders like Mac Allister and Szoboszlai.

Liverpool’s midfield plays very strongly in all of their games now. It’s not at all like the picture they had and showed last season.

In the game against West Ham, Szoboszlai touched the ball 104 times, more than any other player. The Hungarian player can pass the ball up to 93% of the time (81/87), including 4 key passes to partners. The only player worse than Szboszlai (9) at getting back control of the ball is defender Andy Robertson (10).

It’s not necessary to say much more about how it changed Mac Allister’s playing style now that the Argentine player has fully recovered from his time with the national team. During the game, Mac Allister made 86 of the 90 passes he tried. The 1998-born player also has pretty good numbers when it comes to getting back control of the ball, with 8 wins. Everyone should remember the World Cup winner’s most impressive play: the perfect pass to the Uruguayan scorer that helped him score the goal that made the score 2-1.

Klopp seemed more sure about the method he is rebuilding for Liverpool after the game: “Darwin has made great strides in the past few weeks.” He really is a threat to the other player. That goal must have been seen by everyone, right? It looked pretty cool, right? Now, Nunez’s biggest difference in playing style is likely that he actively moves to defense. He always wants the ball to go where he can do the most damage. It looks even easier now that the team knows how to do it without Nunez. Having Curtis and Dom around helps a lot with this too.”

Liverpool under Klopp is now putting together a new team with the players that the German manager brought to Anfield. There is a rise in them, and Curtis Jones is a part of which.
