In order to commemorate the end of a fantastic 19-year professional career, Rosicky invited friends, past teammates, and family members. At the same time, his Czech XI played a World XI.

Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Bacary Sagna, and Gael Clichy, all former Gunners, were among the colleagues from Rosicky’s time at the Emirates who made up the World XI.

When Rosicky Sr. brought up his young son to score the fifth goal, the home team triumphed, winning 5-2.

Rosicky had earlier seen a penalty saved by Jens Lehmann and after the game told Arsenal’s official website: “I was actually expecting Jens to save my son’s shot too! I’m glad he showed his human side as well.”

He added: “Obviously it’s very emotional. It was great, I have to say, that I could share this moment with all the guys who came to play in the game and be here with me, so I have to say thank you to everyone who came here and made this occasion very special.
