As Rosicky called on friends, former teammates, and family members to celebrate the conclusion of a remarkable 19-year professional career, his Czech XI took on a World XI.

The World XI, which was filled to the brim with teammates from Rosicky’s Emirates days, included former Gunners Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Bacary Sagna, and Gael Clichy.

The home side emerged triumphant, clinching a 5-2 victory when Rosicky senior set up his young son to roll in the fifth.

Rosicky had earlier seen a penalty saved by Jens Lehmann and after the game told Arsenal’s official website: “I was actually expecting Jens to save my son’s shot too! I’m glad he showed his human side as well.”

He added: “Obviously it’s very emotional. It was great, I have to say, that I could share this moment with all the guys who came to play in the game and be here with me, so I have to say thank you to everyone who came here and made this occasion very special.
