Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool was speechless last night while watching England teammate Jude Bellingham play for Real Madrid.
After Bellingham scored another goal for his Spanish team, Trent congratulated him on Instagram.
Bellingham posted a picture to Instagram with the caption “Character” following the team’s 3-2 victory in Naples.
Trent’s response consisted of an emoji of a cooking face puffing out smoke.
The Liverpool captain isn’t the first professional football player who has been blown away by Bellingham, who is only 20 years old.
Of course, the anticipation for Trent’s comeback is just as high on Merseyside.
The right defender played a brief cameo in the defeat to Spurs after missing three games with a hamstring injury.
It’s a game that’s getting a lot of buzz.
Liverpool, though, under Jurgen Klopp, is presently preparing for tomorrow’s visit from Union Saint-Gilloise of Belgium.
And Trent, who is working to regain his match fitness, might soon be thrust into a starting role.
Maybe it will be Bellingham tomorrow when he comments on Trent’s show at Liverpool.
This summer, Bellingham and Trent may have joined forces at Liverpool.
Liverpool may have felt the loss of Bellingham the most among the midfielders they passed up on this summer.
According to reports, Klopp’s team bowed out of the bidding for the England midfielder due to the high price tag.
It was said, though, that Bellingham was eager to join Trent at Liverpool.
Nevertheless, Dominic Szoboszlai, another superstar, was signed by the club.
The 22-year-old has a lot of potential and may perhaps replace Steven Gerrard at Anfield.
Trent may have hoped Bellingham would join him at Liverpool, but he now has another elite player on his team.
