The American Professional Basketball League and the Golden State Warriors are approaching an agreement to host the 2025 NBA All-Star event at Chase Center.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the NBA is planning to have the Golden State Warriors host All-Star Weekend 2025 at Chase Center.
Up to now, the 2025 event has not yet had an official venue announced – quite late compared to tradition. However, many sources say San Francisco is the leading candidate.
This will be only the second All-Star Weekend held on the Warriors’ field. The first time took place in 2000, when the team was still stationed in Oakland.
San Francisco has never hosted an All-Star event before, but California is a different story. The last time this event came here was 2018, at the home stadium of the LA Lakers and LA Clippers.
The only time Golden State hosted an All-Star event was in 2000
While it’s too early to make any predictions about who will appear in the 2025 All-Star Game, it’s hard to imagine that Warriors star Stephen Curry won’t be a part of it.
At the age of 35, Curry is still showing the class of a top star in the league. However, this is also the right time for the Chef to have one of his last appearances at this event.
Can this trio reunite at All-Star 2025?
The Golden State Warriors have been the top team of the decade in the NBA with four championships since 2015. The All-Star event two years from now would be a fitting time to honor one of the greatest dynasties tournament history.
The 2024 All-Star event will be held in Indianapolis, where the 2021 event was originally scheduled to be held before COVID-19 forced the tournament to adjust its plans.
