Jimmy Butler shows off the STRANGE hairstyle in the media day

Jimmy Butler is trying to lead the Miami Heat to a third NBA Finals appearances in five seasons. the Heat lost their last two trips, falling to the Denver Nuggets last season.

It should come as no surprise at this point.

Another team Media Day. Another bold prediction from Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler.

on Monday, Butler once again guaranteed the Heat will win the NBA title this season. Nothing new.

“Somehow, some way end up in the Finals,” Butler said when asked about this year’s expectations. “this time, we’re gonna win.”

Butler guided the Heat to two Finals appearances during the previous four years, but both times they were unsuccessful. They were defeated by the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers in six games in 2020. The Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic defeated the Miami Heat last season in five games.

Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro make up the Heat’s core, but they lost starting guards Max Strus and guard Gabe Vincent to free agency. Butler believes the Heat are still contenders despite the addition of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday by the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks’ acquisition of Damian Lillard through trade.

“This is our year,” Butler said. “this is the one. And this one’s going to feel real good, by the way.”

Many feel the Heat have reached their peak with the current roster. With no additions, the hope is Adebayo and Herro take their games to another level while second-year forward Nikola Jovic continues to grow. there is also a chance rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr., becomes a rotation player.
