Team USA Beckons: Warriors Star Steph Curry Expresses Desire to Play in the 2024 Olympics

Stephen Curry has won almost every major basketball award there is, yet he has yet to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

While Curry would love to alter that soon, he has yet to compete in the Olympics.

Curry announced his intention to play for Team USA at the 2024 Olympics on Monday at Warriors media day. The games will be held in Paris.

Assuming the status quo, “I want to be playing,” Curry added. I hope everything works out because I really want to be there and be a part of the team.

Curry’s declaration follows Kevin Durant’s announcement that he will represent the United States in the 2018 Summer Olympics. LeBron James also seems to be on board, and he allegedly led an effort to get Curry and other NBA All-Stars to join him.

Although he has played for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup twice (in 2010 and 2014), Curry has never competed in the Olympics. The four-time NBA champion has had his chances before, but the stars have never aligned.
