According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool was fined after a series of unfair calls contributed to the team’s loss against Tottenham Hotspur.

After sending off Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota, Liverpool finished their game against Tottenham Hotspur with 9 players. Luis Diaz had a goal disallowed, and that’s the main thing to remember. 

Even though Diaz was still standing on the last Tottenham player, he was called for offside. PGMOL swiftly conceded “human error” in the use of VAR at the end of the game.

Jurgen Klopp and his players are expecting a penalty after being on the receiving end of the referee’s injustices throughout the London match. According to the Daily Mail, the FA will punish Liverpool £25,000 for “lack of discipline.” The reason for this is that the team from the port city was shown 8 yellow cards during their match against Tottenham.

The FA stipulates that any club receiving six or more cautions must pay a fine. Alexis Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Virgil Van Dijk were shown yellow cards, while assistant coach Peter Krawietz was sent a red card.

The FA is not required to make any remarks about the punishment because it is established by law. The five yellow cards that Tottenham got almost resulted in a fine.
