Ansu Fati will spend the rest of the season on loan at Brighton with the hopes of earning a permanent transfer to Barcelona next summer.
Fati joined the Premier League club on a season-long loan during the summer transfer window, however the club has no option to buy.
Still, Diario Sport claims Barca has chosen to “get rid of” Ansu and is open to bids for him.
It has been said that Barça were ready to sell Fati last summer, but negotiations with Wolves fell through because the striker was unwilling to transfer to Molineux.
Fati had intended to stay for the entire season, but he saw the writing on the wall following the team’s poor start to the new campaign and decided to leave.
As a result of their forward depth and the impending addition of Vitor Roque, Barcelona has reportedly opted to sell.
The rumor claims that Fati might be utilized in a transaction that results in the permanent signing of Portugal international Joao Felix by Barcelona.
