It is difficult to imagine Jadon Sancho playing for Manchester United in the near future.
The 23-year-old winger has been barred from all first-team facilities at United’s Carrington training site, as exclusively disclosed by Mirror Football. The situation is so bad that he is not even permitted to socialize with his teammates in the dining area.
Fans оf United will be curiоus as tо hоw Sanchо ended up in this precariоus predicament. After jоining оld Traffоrd fоr £73 milliоn frоm Bоrussia Dоrtmund in July 2021, he was expected tо explоde, finishing with 38 gоals and 51 assists in just 104 Bundesliga appearances. Hоwever, it will be lucky fоr the Englishman tо find a way оut in January.
But things are bad fоr United as well. Due tо Antоny’s leave оf absence fоllоwing accusatiоns оf dоmestic viоlence, Erik ten Hag is currently withоut twо first-team wingers. The claims are refuted by Antоny.
Prior to their Premier League matchup with Arsenal earlier this month, United cut Sancho. Ten Hag stated in his press conference following the game that the player’s subpar training results prevented him from being included on their 20-man matchday roster.
“We did not select him based on his training performance,” the United manager stated after their 3-1 defeat. Every day at Manchester United, you have to perform at the highest level. He was not chosen for this game since you can make decisions on the front line.”
Sancho, though, did not take long to refute his manager’s remarks on social media, writing, “Please do not believe everything you read!”
“I will not put up with people making up stories that are wholly false. I have performed admirably this week in my training. I feel that there are other factors involved in this situation, which I will not discuss because I have been made to feel unfairly blamed for a long time.”
United fans were divided by Sancho’s response. While many of his supporters believed he had the right to self-defense, others felt he had betrayed his boss. The international was barred from first-team training by Ten Hag, who undoubtedly adopted the latter position.
Sancho must eat with the academy players and is not permitted to use any of the facilities designated for first-team players. Ten Hag is refusing to back down until the fired star issues an apology, despite reports that the player is unhappy with his manager’s position.
Conflicts between Sancho and Ten Hag are not new. The Dutchman has a zero tolerance policy for tardiness, thus it is thought that he has missed multiple training sessions. When Marcus Rashford arrived late to a team meeting the previous season, he was moved to the bench. In response, Rashford scored the game-winning goal against Wolves.
Although the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has volunteered to mediate the dispute, Sancho and Ten Hag are still at odds as of right now. “There is an easy way to resolve this situation, which is for Jadon to apologize to the manager,” a source told Mirror Football. There will be a sacrifice made, and it will not be the manager.
There was a notion that Sancho may use FIFA’s rules to his advantage and force his way back into first-team training. The world football governing body states that it may be considered “abusive conduct” in the workplace for a club to request that a player practice alone.
Sancho must receive from United a high enough level of instruction and physical preparation. However, the three-time European champions are certain that the athlete has crossed the threshold because they have provided him with specialized fitness instructors during this difficult period.
Ten Hag was questioned over Sancho’s future following Wednesday’s 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace for United. Refusing to “talk about players who are not available” was his refusal.
Ten Hag has the full support of both football director John Murtough and CEO Richard Arnold of United. Sancho’s bad form only makes things more difficult for him. After joining United, he has only contributed six assists and nine goals in 58 Premier League games.
It is said that Ten Hag chose to banish Sancho as a last option. The former Manchester City player is, at best, in the Last Chance Saloon at Old Trafford. At worst, when the transfer window reopens, he is leaving the Wild West of England.
