Barcelona Cautions Players Against Padel to Mitigate Injury Risks

Barcelona’s season has been marred by a string of injuries to key players after a promising start.

Many players, including Pedri, Ronald Araujo, Inigo Martinez, and Andreas Christensen, have been forced to sit out games. The most recent player to be ruled out due to injury is Frenkie de Jong.

Barcelona’s recent injuries have prompted the team to take some significant measures to prevent further setbacks.

Being especially cautious

Football players participate in a variety of other sports outside of practice to maintain their level of fitness.

One of them is playing padel, also known as padel tennis, at least in Spain.

Toni Juanmarti, however, claims that Barcelona has informed players that playing padel tennis will be against the law.

As many Barcelona players participate in padel tennis, this was done to lessen the likelihood of injuries.

Sport that Barcelona players enjoy playing

The players, many of whom are avid fans of the sport, were dealt a serious blow when Barcelona decided to outlaw playing padel.

In fact, according to Juanmarti, many Barcelona players once paid close attention to the Padel World Tour. Additionally, they used to have slopes on their urbanization so they could enjoy the sport without leaving the house.

But that is no longer an issue. Barcelona players must find a new hobby because they have no choice but to follow sports.

However, it is still unclear whether or not this action will actually contribute significantly to a decrease in injuries.
