Kostas Tsimikas Commits to Liverpool FC with New Long-Term Contract

Kostas Tsimikas has re-upped with Liverpool FC on a long-term deal.

The left defender, who arrived to the AXA Training Centre from Olympiacos in August of 2020, signed new terms with the club on Monday.

“I feel very glad to be here to extend my contract,” Tsimikas told Liverpoolfc.com. Everything I’ve done, worked for, and sacrificed for seems to have paid off.

I’m entirely motivated for the remainder of it because of this, however. I’ve stated it in several interviews: “This team has so much potential that I’ve wanted to be a part of it from day one.”

Tsimikas has contributed 12 assists in 63 games for Liverpool since joining the club.

The Greece international started five of the Reds’ six games in the campaign and scored the game-winning penalty in the 2022 Emirates FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Supporters have taken to calling Tsimikas the “Greek Scouser,” and he has stated his goals for the remainder of his contract. Tsimikas was an integral part of Jürgen Klopp’s squad that won the Carabao Cup in 2021-22.

The 27-year-old athlete stated, “More achievement, more effort, and more awards. Winning trophies, giving 110% in every scenario, and being a part of this is what matters most to me.

I believe we have a great chance of winning additional titles with this squad, and we want to take that chance. I believe that everyone is “all in” for the next games and prepared to make significant strides toward future success.
