This weekend’s Premier League action features Liverpool hosting West Ham. Here are the latest reports on player health and availability from both teams before of Saturday’s match at Anfield.

Liverpool enters this weekend’s matchup against West Ham United with a 4-1 record after the first five games of the Premier League 2023/24 season.

West Ham has only been defeated once this season, by Manchester City, and they just won a convincing game away at Brighton. In the Europa League group stage midweek, they started off with a victory over Baka Topola of the Serbian SuperLiga.

Due to the Europa League match being played on a Thursday night, Jürgen Klopp was forced to have a pre-recorded news conference for this match, preventing him from providing a comprehensive injury update.

Since neither Trent Alexander-Arnold nor Thiago Alcântara were well enough to play in the victory against LASK (though neither may have played otherwise), we are still waiting for updates on their statuses.

Alexander-Arnold may return for West Ham’s match against the Red Devils a week after Klopp remarked, “He didn’t train with the team once yet and will take a little bit,” in a news conference before the Reds’ match against Wolves.

A hamstring injury is hardly the worst thing that can happen to you, but every hamstring injury takes longer than two weeks to recover, and this one was no exception. Since he is already running, we anticipate that he will be able to begin ball training early next week.
