Four players may make their comebacks during tomorrow’s Premier League match against Burnley, according to Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils have suffered their third straight loss after a terrible start to the season. Bayern Munich defeated the team 4-3 in the Champions League.
They have the chance to beat the struggling Clarets, and the manager has offered an update on four first-team players before the game.
Due to a minor injury, Harry Maguire missed the midweek roster, and Mason Mount, Raphael Varane, and Sofyan Amrabat were all absent for fitness-related reasons.
According to Ten Hag, a decision regarding their availability will be made after the final preparation. All four of them will practice in the afternoon session.
“Perhaps,” he said to Manutd.com, “as you say, Harry Maguire. After exercising [on Friday afternoon], our vision will be improved. Varane will train, though, and we’ll see. Amrabat, he’ll work out, and we’ll see. Mount, too, although none of them played for an extended period of time. Naturally, Varane had the quickest [time] out.
Only six points have been earned by United after five Premier League games, which is a dismal start. The team has already fallen seven points short of securing the last Champions League position.
As Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur square off, they will have the chance to narrow the gap on the top four.
Burnley, meanwhile, has struggled since their promotion to the top division, having given up 12 goals in four games.
A weak Clarets backline must be unsettled by United playing aggressively. Anything less than success would be a poor outcome.
