LASK vs. Liverpool: Europa League Squad Updates and News

Liverpool has sent a 23-man team to their Europa League Group E match against LASK on Thursday. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Thiago Alcantara will be unavailable.

Since both Alexander-Arnold and Thiago are currently sidelined by injury, Jürgen Klopp did not include them in his squad to compete in Austria.

Before the international break in September, the former injured his hamstring playing against Aston Villa, while the latter is yet to play this season as he continues his lengthy road to recovery.

Liverpool will be wearing their brand new Nike third kit for the first time against LASK, and you can buy one right here!

However, Reds skipper Virgil van Dijk is now eligible to return to the lineup after sitting out the team’s last two Premier League games due to a domestic ban.

Day of Signing Deadline Also making the trip with the team is Ryan Gravenberch, who may get the nod to start in his first game.

Meanwhile, LASK have no new injury issues to address before facing Klopp’s men, albeit some players will be missing the match due to absences.

The Austrian Bundesliga team will be without Tobias Anselm, Peter Michorl, Lenny Pintor, Adil Taoui, and Philipp Wiesinger.

To compete in this game tomorrow is a big honor for us,” LASK head coach Thomas Sageder remarked at Wednesday’s news conference.

We’ve had some time to recharge and feel ready to go after our most recent road game. The group is very driven and focused. We can’t wait till tomorrow’s game.

To elaborate, Sageder said, “We have a particular protocol before every game, my colleagues analyzed the previous five games [of Liverpool] and then we choose approximately eight to ten scenarios we are showing the players.

However, because to Liverpool’s tactical versatility, it is difficult to prepare the squad to face them, which is why we are concentrating on ourselves.
