Official: Ben Doak Commits to Liverpool with New Long-Term Contract

Ben Doak, a 17-year-old winger, has emerged as the Reds’ next big hope coming out of the junior systems after making five senior appearances for Liverpool last season and a solid pre-season performance.

The Scotland youth international has already made one league appearance this season, and there was much speculation during the September international break that he might shortly make his senior Scotland debut.

Doak, who joined for Liverpool in the summer of 2022 for £600,000 in compensation from Celtic, has signed a new long-term contract with the club today.

The forward made his Liverpool debut in the Carabao Cup last season against Derby, and his league debut on Boxing Day last year against Aston Villa. Before signing with the Reds, the young player made two appearances for Celtic.

Considering that Doak’s “long-term” contract may not begin until after his 18th birthday in November, the three-year agreement he signed last summer may have been the most that may be offered to a player under the age of 18.
