Man City’s defense of Europe’s best championship begins on Tuesday, September 19th, when we welcome Red Star Belgrade at the Etihad Stadium.

Serbian champions have won their domestic league in each of the last six seasons, and they have qualified for the Champions League group stages for the first time since 2020.

The two sides will meet for the first time on Tuesday, but Guardiola’s men will not take their opponents lightly as Man City looks to start the latest European season with a win.

City enter the match in fine form, having won a hard-fought 3-1 away to West Ham United on Saturday.

But it’s back to work tomorrow, with another demanding task under the Etihad lights.
