Liverpool’s Andy Robertson Firmly Rejects Teammate’s Grip in Choking Incident

Liverpool star Andy Robertson joked with Curtis Jones to “get your hands off me” following the team’s Saturday victory against Wolves. The left-back played a crucial role for Jurgen Klopp’s team during their short Premier League title run.

Liverpool fell down quickly at Molineux as Hwang Hee-chan scored the first goal. The Reds probably would have been farther down at halftime if not for some shaky goal-scoring from the home side.

Cody Gakpo tied the game for Liverpool only 10 minutes into the second half. It wasn’t until Robertson scored a rather strange goal in the 85th minute that they were able to grab the lead.

Jones joined in the jubilation after the Scot’s goal, suggesting his approval. Robertson’s joyful response to Jones’s hug around his neck was recorded on camera.

But now Robertson has shared the picture on his Instagram story with a hilarious message that seems to indicate he is not happy with Jones’ actions. Among two crying-laughing emojis and a red heart, he added, “Get your hands off me now” in the photo’s caption.

Jones has already played in 100 games for Liverpool. Hugo Bueno scored an own goal in extra time, but with his help, the squad was able to pull off a 3-1 triumph.

Liverpool is second only to Manchester City in points after five games. When Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold were both out for last weekend’s game, Klopp was left to retool his midfield with four summer signings.

Robertson is overjoyed by the abundance of fresh talent and new faces in the band. He’s certain things will turn around for the better once a few key veterans return from suspension and injuries.

Speaking with TNT Sports, he stated, “It’s a clean slate. Many new individuals have joined the squad, and our style of play has altered accordingly. That’s why I think we’re both experiencing complete and total freedom.

In the first half, when we were still perhaps trying to push the ball and everything like that and it was time to just put the foot on the ball, it was clear that we had terrific, exciting young people. They came out swinging in the second half, playing without fear, and our bench players stepped up to the plate.

Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott, and the halftime addition of Luis Diaz all contributed to the problems. Therefore, our squad is still strong despite the absence of Trent and Thiago.

Given that they weren’t contributing to the team today, we should only become stronger. If we can keep everyone in fit, we believe we have a squad that can compete, and we must continue to demonstrate that.
