Liverpool Star Andy Robertson Asserts ‘Hands Off!’ to Teammate Amid Choking Incident

Andy Robertson, a standout for Liverpool, playfully told Curtis Jones, “get your hands off me” after the team’s victory over Wolves on Saturday. The left-back was vital in Jurgen Klopp’s squad’s brief stint atop the Premier League standings.

Hwang Hee-chan’s early goal at Molineux put Liverpool in an early hole. But for some poor goal-scoring from the home team, the Reds may have been much farther down at the break.

Liverpool came out strong in the second half, and Cody Gakpo tied the score 10 minutes in. They weren’t able to take the lead until the 85th minute, when Robertson scored an extremely unusual goal.

Jones seemed pleased with the Scot’s goal, and he participated in the celebrations. Images captured Robertson’s ecstatic reaction to Jones’s embrace around his neck.

However, Robertson has now posted the photo to his Instagram story, along with a humorous caption implying that he is not pleased with Jones’ behavior. He wrote “Get your hands off me now” in the photo’s description beside two laughing-crying emojis and a red heart.

Jones made his 100th overall appearance for Liverpool. With his support, the team was able to hold on for a 3-1 victory thanks to an own goal from Hugo Bueno in stoppage time.

After five games, only Manchester City has more points than Liverpool. Without Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Klopp was forced to retool his midfield with four summer additions and play without either player last weekend.

Robertson is thrilled by the youthful talent and newcomers he has seen in the group. Once certain veteran players return from suspension and injury, he thinks things will only improve.

He said to TNT Sports, “It’s a fresh beginning. There are a lot of new faces on the team, and the manner we play has evolved somewhat. That’s why I believe we both feel absolutely liberated.

In the first half, when it was time to simply put the foot on the ball and we were still perhaps trying to push it and stuff like that, you could certainly see that we had excellent, exciting young guys. They came out in the second half and played fearlessly, and our substitutes were excellent.

There were issues brought on by Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott, and the introduction of Luis Diaz at halftime. So, although we’re missing key players like Trent and Thiago, our team is still formidable.

Since they weren’t part of the team today, our strength can only increase. But we think we have a team that can compete if we can maintain everyone in shape, and we need to keep proving that.
