After his outburst on Twitter, JADON SANCHO reportedly REFUSED to apologize to Erik ten Hag.
The winger has been sent to work at the academy by the Manchester United manager.
Since Sancho claimed he was being used as a scapegoat after ten Hag left him off the matchday squad for United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal, he and his boss have been exchanging barbs.
The Athletic claims that Sancho has refused to apologize to ten Hag despite being asked repeatedly.
The Manchester club announced in a statement that he would be training separately from the main group, and as a result of his refusal, they had taken disciplinary action.
Jadon Sancho will continue on a personal training program separate from the first-team group while a squad discipline problem is resolved, according to the club’s brief statement.
When the Dutch manager revealed the reason he was not selected for the match at Emirates Stadium was due to his performances in training, Sancho said ten Hag was using him as a scapegoat.
The 23-year-old expressed his opinions about the situation on social media.
“I won’t tolerate people saying things that are completely false; I’ve behaved myself in training very well this week,” he wrote.
I feel there are further factors at play, but I won’t discuss them because I’ve unfairly served as the scapegoat for so long.
“All I want to do is cheer when I play football and help my team out.
I play alongside wonderful players and am grateful to be able to do so, even if I am aware that it presents challenges each and every week. I respect all decisions made by the coaching staff.
I won’t give up until I get this badge, no matter what.
Sancho has now taken the post down from his social media pages, but it seems he is still unhappy over the incident and won’t apologize.
The elusive winger left Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for a staggering £73 million, but he has not lived up to his price tag.
Even before the transfer market closed in the summer, the Red Devils were rumored to be open to selling Sancho to Saudi Arabia.
However, it is said that he chose to travel to New York for a break rather than hold any discussions.
