FOUR things spotted in training as Liverpool get double boost after the South American players miss

The Reds are back at the AXA Training Centre following the international break and have turned their focus towards the return of the Premier League.

After nearly two weeks away from Merseyside due to the international break, most of Liverpool’s stars returned from their international jaunts to prepare for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And although there was no involvement for the Reds’ South American contingent, who represented their countries just over 48 hours ago, there was plenty to be taken from the latest session at the AXA Training Centre.

Here are four things spotted..

Ibrahima Konate is poised to make his return from injury when Liverpool face Wolves this weekend.

Another potential positive for Liverpool was the sight of Trent Alexander-Arnold with his boots on at their Kikrby-based training centre as he took to the grass during the afternoon.

Elsewhere on Thursday, Ryan Gravenberch was pictured training with his new Liverpool team-mates after signing from Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day.

Finally, despite Klopp claiming that Thiago Alcantara would be fit for a return to action after the international break, the Spaniard was nowhere to be seen in Thursday’s team session.

Take a look at the squad’s preparations for the trip to Molineux on Saturday lunchtime with the gallery below…
