However, one player has been added to the list of absentees for the Premier League match at home against Brighton: Antony. The club has instructed Antony not to return to training until he clears his reputation in relation to charges of domestic abuse.

The obvious pick is Eriksen because he is match-ready, but despite not having kicked a ball since last season, we have a sneaking hunch that Amrabat might be included right away.

When Antony was signed, Ten Hag did the same thing, and he might think that Amrabat is the kind of player who can get things going right away.

Of course, Bruno Fernandes will take the tenth position.

No adjustments are anticipated in defense. Since Raphael Varane is unlikely to be healthy, Lisandro Martinez should team up with Victor Lindelof. Both were substituted in the Arsenal game, but both have performed well when called up for international action.

Although loanee Sergio Reguilon is an option, Aaron Wan-Bissaka will continue to play right back, and Diogo Dalot will likely return to play left back.
