Liverpool Express Interest in West Ham United Attacker, Jarrod Bowen

Liverpool may look at Jarrod Bowen as a possible successor for Mohamed Salah next summer, since the club is quite fond of the player.

If Mohamed Salah goes in the next window, The Athletic reports that Liverpool may consider bringing in Jarrod Bowen. One of the options to replace the Egyptian at Anfield is the 26-year-old West Ham player, who has seen his stock rise as a left-footed right winger in recent years.

Even if the door to Saudi Arabia is closed, there is still hope for the Mohamed Salah case. Currently, no other team is relieved by this news save Liverpool, but they will be prepared for future proposals from the Middle East for their star winger.

The Saudis may have considered making another large offer but missed their chance. In particular, Al Ittihad may make another massive offer in January or the summer of next year. This time, though, Liverpool may be more amenable to a sale of the Egyptian player.

If so, their next objective should be to find a worthy replacement for the Egyptian. There aren’t many footballers in the world as excellent as Salah who can play right flank with their left foot. Liverpool has been considering other options for a superstar replacement, including Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid.
Those players might improve their team’s offensive production, but they don’t have the same high profile as the rest of the team’s players. Liverpool may feel compelled to replace Salah with another left winger despite having Luis Diaz and Coady Gakpo on their current roster.

Some have suggested that Liverpool use their Salah money on 22-year-old Bukayo Saka, whose name has been mentioned in the past. Arsenal may have been interested in a move to a rival domestic club in 2020, but they are unlikely to do so now.

Jarrod Bowen became a potential target for Liverpool in the days leading up to the Salah rumors. According to reports, the Merseysiders regard the 26-year-old West Ham player as the perfect substitute for Salah.

Salah’s production is far higher than that of the 26-year-old West Ham star, who is left-footed and plays on the right wing. Bowen can replicate the figures Jurgen Klopp wants if given the proper coaching and structure, and he also seems to be signable.

West Ham will want to extend Bowen, who will be 26 by then, on a new contract before his current one ends in 2025. The England international could want to join the Merseysiders instead of prolonging his spell at the London Stadium if Liverpool makes it known that they are interested in signing him.

As Salah’s leaving date approaches, the Bowen connections may continue to develop. West Ham would still likely want a hefty transfer price for the winger, but Liverpool have shown they can be tough to deal with and still get what they want.
