Talking to CaughtOffside, journalist Fabrizio Romano spoke out to clarify rumors related to the Uruguayan star.

The transfer market in the Premier League and some of Europe’s top leagues has officially closed, but in recent days, there have been many notable rumors surrounding big stars. For example, Darwin Nunez, when the media confirmed that Liverpool had intended to exchange this striker with Joao Felix in the summer market.

However, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano, all are really just rumors, because  Liverpool have absolutely no intention of parting with Nunez in the last transfer window. Romano affirmed that both the management and the coaching staff of The Kop want to continue to stick with the former Benfica striker.

The Italian journalist said:

” Darwin Nunez – Despite rumors of a trade deal with Joao Felix being spread, Liverpool never wanted to part with Nunez this summer.”

“The stance is very clear from the club, the board and the coach, they absolutely want to keep Nunez. Nunez himself is also very pleased with the fact that Liverpool consider him untouchable.”
