Jadon Sancho’s life at Manchester United has taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks, and his weekend attack on Erik ten Hag is a far cry from his positive first impression.
After an altercation with manager Erik ten Hag over the weekend, Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United may be coming to an end.
As United prepared to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, Sancho was not included in the lineup. After the game, Ten Hag provided an explanation for his absence, claiming that Sancho had not attained the necessary “level” to be chosen.
Sancho retaliated, saying, “Please, don’t believe everything you read. I won’t stand for people stating things that are entirely false because I’ve behaved myself admirably during training this week.
“I think there are other factors at play here that I won’t discuss; it’s unfair that I’ve been used as a scapegoat for so long!”
When he was playing for Manchester City, Sancho was once a sought-after prospect at Old Trafford. He even dazzled his future employers on his first visit to Carrington.
When Sancho was playing his debut season of Under-18s football in a team with Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden, he was one of the top players emerging from the City system.
Despite his amazing streak of seven goals in 11 games, Sancho started the game on the bench.
Sancho, though, changed everything after he entered the game, enabling his team to hold their fierce opponents to a 1-1 tie. The Red Devils’ top brass were astounded and made an effort to entice him to the red side of Manchester.
Before deciding to join to United in 2021, Sancho decided to move to Dortmund because he was unclear of his path to the first team at City.
