Ez Abde, a winger for Barcelona, nevertheless faces an unclear future with the club with less than 24 hours remaining before the transfer market closes.
The 21-year-old winger has reservations about his future at Barça since he wants to play often but is unsure whether he will receive the playing time he needs.
It was reported earlier today that the Moroccan international has had offers for two loan moves and two permanent transfers.
Abde is tempted by Real Betis.
The option of Real Betis appeals to Abde the most, according to writer Helena Condis, although a transfer to the Seville-based team is impossible to accomplish.
Abde has been a target for Real Betis all summer, due in large part to the efforts of the club’s new sports director, Ramon Planes, who was responsible for bringing the winger from Hercules CF to Barcelona in 2021.
It wasn’t too long ago that the kid was thought to have struck a deal with Los Verdiblancos.
While it seemed like Abde would remain with the club, he did not play in the match against Villarreal last weekend, which opened the door for him to go.
No loan proposals will be considered by Barcelona.
Real Betis have had some money problems this summer, so it’s possible that they won’t be able to sign Abde before the transfer window closes.
Even more so when you consider that Barcelona has no interest in loaning out the 21-year-old and would rather sell him outright.
Even if a transfer to Betis seems unlikely, journalist Ramon Salmurri claims that Abde is on the verge of leaving Barcelona and that the player and his agent are now meeting at Ciutat Esportiva to iron out the details.
But AS’s Javi Miguel disputes such rumors, saying the 21-year-old is 99% likely to remain with the club. The next several hours should shed further light on the situation.
