Liverpool Considering Move for Wilfred Ndidi, Five Years After Initial Interest in Leicester City Star

Wilfred Ndidi, a star player for Leicester City, is a potential target for Liverpool. Five years have passed since Liverpool initially expressed an interest in the player.

In an effort to add more players before the transfer market closes on Friday, Jurgen Klopp is working really hard. He wants to bolster the middle with extra guys. However, a transfer has been halted by Crystal Palace star Cheick Doucoure’s £70 million price tag.Additionally, there have been suggestions that the Reds want to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich. The Reds will have to fight to get Gravenberch because Man United are also interested in him. Following the loss of six first-team players this summer, Klopp appears to be forced to add more fresh players.

And according to the Independent, the German leader is about to express interest in Ndidi once more. The Nigerian has participated in 243 games for the Foxes since moving there from Genk in 2016. Following their expulsion from the Premier League, the team has a strong start in the Championship.Ndidi is not anticipated to receive as much as Doucoure in a transfer from Leicester in the final three days of the window.

Back in 2018, when he was seeking for ways to spend the proceeds from the sale of Philippe Coutinho, Klopp expressed interest in the 26-year-old. Ndidi performed very well, but no bid was ever made.

Given that Ndidi’s current deal expires in June 2024, Leicester might be more eager to offload him. If he stays in the Midlands, the celebrity could depart for free the following summer.Ndidi, though, will also be a key component of Leicester manager Enzo Maresca’s squad’s effort to return to the Premier League at the first attempt. With four straight victories in the league, the club coached by the former Manchester City manager is now in first place.

But Klopp’s decision on whether to pursue Ndidi isn’t his only challenge this week. The Saudi squad Al-Ittihad was interested in Mo Salah’s future, so he did this to dissuade people from discussing it.

Salah has kept his plans for the future to himself, but he is going to receive a deal that will astound him and pay him more than Cristiano Ronaldo does. This story might not end on Friday because the Saudi trade window doesn’t close until September 7.
