In a match in the Saudi Pro League 2023/24 fourth round, Al-Nassr’s Sadio Mane collided with Al-Shabab’s Iago Santos, losing control of the situation.

Mane struck the opposing player after reverting to his previous thuggish ways.Mane helped score in the resounding 4-0 victory for the home team in the Saudi Arabian League match between Al-Nassr and Al-Shabab in the fourth round of 2023/24.

However, a contact with Santos during a challenge for the ball resulted in his receiving the most damage. After first splitting apart, both players fiercely pursued one another. Before the sideline referee interfered to separate them, Mane shoved Santos.

As soon as the video of the altercation appeared on social media, fans responded immediately. In a tweet, someone stated, “I thought Mane was a gentle guy, to be honest.”

Sadio Mane was involved in a controversy last season after punching Leroy Sane in the face and having many supporters come to his defense.

The main defense offered by Mane supporters was that Sadio is a reserved individual who has never been physically beaten; however, he shows that this is not the case in Saudi Arabia.
