Immediately after the opening whistle, PSG made the Lens goal shake violently with stormy attack power. After a few missed opportunities, the defending Ligue 1 champions also opened the scoring thanks to a shot from outside the penalty area by Asensio.

Mbappe shines to help PSG win

Entering the second half, things got even worse with Lens when Mbappe “heated up”. In the 52nd minute, the French striker received Lucas Hernandez’s left wing pass and dangerously doubled the difference.

In the 90th minute, Mbappe marked the day of the sublime competition with a goal to raise the score to 3-0. On the opposite side, Lens’s effort only helped them to have an honor table in the 5th minute of injury time, thereby accepting a 1-3 defeat in the end. With this result, PSG temporarily rose to 4th place (5 points / 3 matches), while Lens sank in 15th place (1 point).
