Mo Salah sent 2 ‘hιdden’ message after rᴜmors he will leave Liverpool to join Saudi club

Mohamed Salah seemed in a relaxed mood last night, despite rumours swirling that he could leave Liverpool.

Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia throughout the summer, but there didn’t seem to be much in it because his agent repeatedly denied that the Egyptian would go.

Everything changed yesterday night. According to a number of outlets, including The Athletic, Pro League team Al Ittihad is willing to use all reasonable efforts to acquire Mo from Anfield.

Mo stepped up to the plate while the Liverpool crowd waited for Salah—or his typically straightforward agent Ramy Abbas Issa—to openly reassure them. Sort of.

Around 9.30 p.m. yesterday, the 31-year-old shared a casual selfie on Twitter. Salah appeared to have just left a screening of “Barbie” while sporting a very pink turtleneck and a blue bandana. Maybe he had. In any case, we need him to say something more specific shortly.

Salah relaxed amid Saudi rumours

In the absence of a clear denial from Salah today, we will need something from Jurgen Klopp.

Prior to his team’s encounter against Newcastle on Sunday, Liverpool’s manager will speak to the media this morning. Jurgen will need to respond to a few urgent questions.

Top of the pile after last night’s reporting though, will be ‘just what is going on with Mo?’

Klopp answered the question last week in fairness to him. When pushed to respond to suggestions that either Alisson Becker or Salah could leave for Saudi Arabia, the boss said it wasn’t something he was expecting.

However, he also didn’t completely rule it out, either.

“On outgoings side from my side, nothing will happen. But I learned a lot of things in this window so we will see on that,” Jurgen said.

On the back of the strength of reports last night, Klopp’s going to have to be a lot stronger than that in his responses on Salah today. Fingers crossed we don’t get the news we’ve all been dreading since yesterday.
