After signing his new deal, playmaker Bernardo took some time to look back fondly on his six years spent playing with the Sky Blues and insisted that nothing could have gone more smoothly.
However, he acknowledged that he is looking forward to the future as he seeks further honors to add to the amazing 14 that he has already amassed.
“This is my seventh season with Man City. And in terms of what we accomplished and the possibilities of what we may still do, it’s been a dream,” he said.
“Five Premier Leagues, one Champions League, and all the cups in six years.To be honest, I couldn’t have planned it any better.”I’m overjoyed. We shall work as hard as we can during this season as well. We had a good start, too. Let’s continue in that direction.I intend to stay at City for a seventh season. Up to this point, being here meant winning many awards and prizes. I also enjoy winning. Wins are good.In addition to the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League this past season, Bernardo’s trophy cabinet, which was already overflowing, now holds the trifecta of trophies.

When asked where in his illustrious career that victory over Los Blancos ranked for him, he added: “Definitely top three. If not, though, the first one.”But I believe it goes beyond the Real Madrid match. If you look at the key games we played at home last season, that was the time when we felt, should we say, more invincible?You can see that we defeated Man United 6-3, Liverpool 4-1, and Arsenal 4-1. Madrid defeated Bayern Munich 3-0 in the quarterfinal.
“So all the big games where we needed the fans’ support and they showed up, we responded with a very good performance and we felt really, really strong at home,” he continued.”That was probably one of my favorite games of my entire career, yes, because semi-finals of the Champions League give you the chance to play another final and win the trophy this club was lacking, and to perform the way that we did that night was just unbelievable.”
