Jérémy Doku, 21, is reportedly traveling to Manchester to get his medical before joining Manchester City, according to Fabrizio Romano. Prior to his impending transfer to the Etihad Stadium, the Belgian international is scheduled to finish his medical examinations on Wednesday.
The Citizens and Rennes have formally agreed to a fee for Doku that is estimated to be worth £55 million. The 21-year-old and the European Champions have already reached a personal agreement. As a substitute for Algerian international Riyad Mahrez, who just signed a £30 million contract with Saudi Pro League team Al Ahli, City has set their sights on the Belgian star.
The former Anderlecht winger was apparently also wanted by West Ham United, but Doku decided against moving to East London and instead chose to work with Pep Guardiola in Manchester.
The international player from Belgium has recently made an impression for Rennes in Ligue 1. Doku played in 29 games for Les Rouges et Noirs in Ligue 1 last year, contributing to two more goals and scoring six himself.
