According to L’Équipe, Kylian Mbappé (24) was not invited to Neymar’s (31) departure celebration. Last week, it was made official that the Brazilian international was moving from Paris Saint-Germain to Al Hilal. 

Historically, the two’s relationship has been “hot and cold,” according to Mbappé. It appears that their relationship isn’t at its best right now. In a post on Instagram, Mbappé was implicated in Neymar’s departure from the team, and Neymar ‘liked’ the post. His six-year stint at the Parc des Princes comes to an end with his €90 million departure to Saudi Arabia. This “like” was not appreciated by Mbappé.

On Friday, as Neymar said his goodbyes to his teammates at PSG’s training facility, the two parted ways. But there was a bigger party midweek. The goodbye celebration was open to friends and family, but Mbappé was not one of them. Marquinhos, a teammate from Brazil, was ultimately the only PSG participant. 

Mbappé has returned at the same time as Neymar has departed. The France captain is scheduled to start against Toulouse on Saturday night after a time of exile.
