Ryan Gravenberch is on Liverpool’s radar

Since the end of the previous campaign, Jurgen Klopp’s team has lost Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo were the replacements Liverpool attempted to sign, but both turned them down in favor of going to Chelsea.

The Reds later purchased Wataru Endo, a Japanese midfielder, from Stuttgart for £19 million.

However, they are still eager to sign another option.

Liverpool reportedly sent chief scout Barry Hunter and head of recruitment Dave Fallows on an investigation in Munich, according to the German publication TZ.

They add that the duo have been tasked with “obtaining detailed information” about the 21-year-old star.

From Ajax, Gravenberch transferred to Bayern in the summer of 2022.

However, he hasn’t played much, starting just three Bundesliga games for the German powerhouses.

The Dutchman was benched for both Friday night’s league opener against Werder Bremen and last weekend’s loss in the German Super Cup.

Thomas Tuchel, the manager, has pushed Gravenberch to wait patiently for his opportunity despite not having used him yet this season.

He said: “I see him in an attacking position.

“When he was subbed on in pre-season games, he was very good and always had influence.

“But there’s a lot of competition there. I see his strengths under pressure from opponents and in dribbling.

“I’m very happy with the way he’s training. If he’s patient, he’ll get his chance.”
