Pundit awed by one Liverpool player’s performance against Bournemouth, calling it “absolutely brilliant”

Dion Dublin, a BBC Sport analyst, was taken aback by what one Liverpool player did tonight against Bournemouth.

Liverpool got off to a bad start, falling behind 1-0 after only 10 minutes. It could have been two if not for a close VAR call.

ImageBournemouth held on for a long, but winger Luis Diaz leveled the score with a superb goal in the 27th minute.

This goal was crucial in the game because the longer Bournemouth led, the more worried Liverpool fans would have been.

Dion Dublin praises Luis Diaz’s performance

The Colombian winger has had a fantastic start to the Premier League season, scoring in both of Liverpool’s games so far.

Dublin stated on BBC Sport after the goal, “Diaz is eight yards out, center of the goal, the ball is bobbling into him.”

“Knowing he won’t have time to control it and turn, he instinctively flicked it into the air to volley it.” “Outstanding finish and technique.”

It was unfortunate that Diaz sustained a long-term injury last season, as he was looking quite sharp and quickly became a fan favorite.

Diaz is at his best now that he has completed a full preseason, and there is little question that his goal-scoring form will continue.

The ‘outstanding’ player is now flourishing. If he maintains his current form, he might become Liverpool’s talisman this season.

The winger is still only 26 years old and has a much greater ceiling than the fine level he is now playing at.
