‘Endo doesn’t know what to do’ – Jurgen Klopp admits after Liverpool’s win

Metro newspaper quoted Jurgen Klopp’s statement, in which the German coach admitted he made it difficult for rookie Wataru Endo.

Wataru Endo was made his debut as a Liverpool player on Friday. But the 30-year-old was immediately brought on in the 63rd minute in place of Cody Gakpo in the AFC Bournemouth clash.

The substitution was made by coach Klopp as soon as Diogo Jota raised the score to 3-1 for Liverpool, when The Kop had many difficulties not long ago because Alexis Mac Allister had to receive a direct red card.

.

The last 30 minutes of the match was quite chaotic and coach Klopp admitted he made it difficult for his rookie. The German strategist said: “The situation was terrible. First game. When Endo came in, I think we saw that Harvey Elliott had to play with a heart rate of 240.

“Endo only had two days – no surprise! He did perfectly fine, but Endo came on the field completely unsure of what to do.

“This morning, I talked to Endo about his position. But the 4-4-1 formation was irrelevant to our conversation. And today, he has to taste.

“I don’t think he’s slept much in the last two nights, so he comes in and gives what he has.”
