According to reports, Ryan Gravenberch is the target of a move by Manchester United in an effort to revitalize their midfield.
The international player from the Netherlands is eager to leave Thomas Tuchel’s squad after struggling to adjust to life in Munich after moving there from Ajax in the summer of 2022. The Bavarians have so far been reluctant to let him go, and they recently rejected an offer from AC Milan.
United is the newest team to join the contest, but the line for Gravenberch’s services is growing longer by the day.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Manchester United made an offer for Gravenberch to Bayern in “the last few hours.”
Liverpool has also made a bid for the Dynamic midfielder, who earns a gross salary of about £200,000 per week before taxes in Munich.
The manager who got the most out of the 21-year-old at Ajax, Erik ten Hag, is the one the player most like to play for.
However, Pedulla asserts that any move might be contingent on what happens to Donny van de Beek or Scott McTominay, as United would want to sell at least one player before bringing in a new midfielder.
This could also be the cause of the Red Devils’ failure to make a proposal for Sofyan Amrabat despite being informed of Fiorentina’s asking price and reaching an agreement on the Moroccan’s compensation in full.
Amrabat has reportedly been patiently waiting for United all summer after turning down other approaches, but with the summer transfer season is coming to an end, it makes sense that the Moroccan international would like to complete his move quickly. Those who desire Amrabat at Old Trafford might be concerned by the rumored offer from the English organization for Gravenberch. Pedulla adds that, depending on sales, they might recruit two midfielders.
