The captain of Japan became the Reds’ third signing of the summer on Friday. He was expected to train with his new teammates for the first time soon after his transfer from VfB Stuttgart was finalized, pending international clearance and a work permit application.
And at his press conference before the game, Jürgen Klopp said, “Okay, Endo is now here, and he can train this afternoon. “I don’t know if he will be allowed to play in the game tomorrow. We will see.”
Klopp said that there were no new injuries to worry about before Saturday’s game against the Cherries at Anfield. He also said that Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are still out, even though they are getting better.
“Stefan Bajcetic, you’re very close but not there yet. “Of course, we depend on him a lot,” the boss said.
“Thiago Alcántara is the same. His profile is a little bit like his, and he has a lot more experience, but he’s not there yet. So, we just need to give them some time. We can’t do that too fast.
“After the international break, everything will look very different, but until then we have very important games.”
Bournemouth, on the other hand, will be able to call on Lloyd Kelly, who was hurt during their season-opening draw with West Ham United. Lewis Cook and Dango Ouattara, on the other hand, will not travel to Merseyside.
Friday, head coach Andoni Iraola told the media, “I think overall, we’re the same when it comes to injuries. Lloyd Kelly is the only one who can get back to work after the weekend. He has trained with us for the last three or four sessions, so he will be ready.
“The other team members are the same. Dango Ouattara will be out for a few more weeks. He was still in a boot when I saw him, so I won’t expect him back soon.
“We’ll keep an eye on Lewis Cook from week to week. He hasn’t been training, so he won’t be ready for tomorrow.
“Marcos Senesi is training well. He got cramps in the first game of the season, and Max Aarons had the same thing happen, so it’s normal and they’re not hurt.”
