Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland of Manchester City, together with Lionel Messi, are among the three contenders for the men’s UEFA player of the year award, the organization that governs European football revealed on Thursday.
A jury made up of UEFA tournament coaches, people in charge of the European national teams, and a select group of media chose the trio as the top vote-getters.
At the Champions League group stage draw event on August 31 in Monaco, the prize winner will be announced.
